The consumerization of IT has fundamentally changed expectations for the user experience of enterprise software. Workers, especially millennial workers expect enterprise applications to be as intuitive and delightful as the ones they enjoy outside the office. The commoditization of legacy enterprise systems and the growing prosperity of best-of-breed SaaS solutions have empowered the business divisions to work around IT and effortlessly switch to solutions that are easy to adopt, easy to roll out, easy to use and beloved by their workforce. Gone are the days when the mere existence of a technical solution was sufficient to win a deal and produce an excessive lock-in effect. Ultimately, the ability of delivering delightful end-to-end experiences at every touch point, whether in the discovery, evaluation, purchasing, implementation, upgrade, or in the actual usage of the solution, has become a competitive advantage in today's hot market.
