Internal Auditor, Assistant Manager Schaeffler - Singapore

Job description

  • To support the corporate governance requirements of the legal entities within the Region and to evaluate the process compliance against Group/regional guidelines.
  • To assist the Manager Internal Audit, Asia Pacific in executing the planned audit projects and/or in ad hoc special review/consulting projects, in consultation or cooperation with other control functions, as appropriate. 
  • Execute the annual audit plan and the planned audit activities within the set timeframe (12 months).
  • Able to understand business operation processes and to identify deficiencies, if any.
  • Able to document and prepare the audit findings and audit workings using internal auditing software.
  • Able to prepare audit documentation/presentation for auditees.
  • Able to follow and to comply with internal audit standards from the Corporate IA team.

  • This position covers Asia Pacific portfolio and is based in SG office. 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Qualified auditors/consultants with proper accounting/auditing qualifications.
  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
  • Willing to travel extensively within and sometimes across the Region (approx. 50%).
  • Good command in English, both written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and good sense of ethical rules/code of conduct.
  • At least 5 to 7 years relevant experience with sizeable organizations either locally or internationally.
  • CPA or CIA qualification desirable.
  • SAP working knowledge and/or IT auditing would be an added advantage.
  • Able to identify process deficiencies and/or compliance issues and suggest solutions to the auditees to initiate the ‘change’ process.
  • Able to meet the expectations of the auditees and be actively involved in team discussions and management reviews and functional review meetings, as appropriate.
  • Act as a team member and be able to support the Manager Internal Audit, Asia Pacific to execute audit projects within set deadlines.
  • Technically competent and able to follow instructions from the Manager Internal Audit, Asia Pacific in applying the internal audit programs and auditing guidelines.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be culturally sensitive to the multi-cultural working environment within the Region, including Korea and Japan.
  • Good listening skills and proactive in improving work efficiency.
