The successful candidate will contribute to Lockheed Martin (LM) Aeronautics' Business Intelligence and Analytics efforts; the efforts are key to the executive-led transformation into a data-driven company. Current business focus areas include manufacturing, supply chain, and after-market product support and logistics. Aeronautics Analytics is powered by the SAP HANA high speed, in-memory database, as well as a large Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). SAP Data Services and Informatica provide large-scale, scheduled data integration. Hadoop will add to future integration capabilities. The R software environment is used for large-volume statistical models and advanced visualization. The SAP Business Objects reporting/dashboard suite is widely used, both for IT-driven solutions and self-service. Self-service data discovery is currently provided by SAP Business Objects Explorer, with a 2015 movement to either Tableau or SAP Lumira. This position offers the potential for technical leadership and skills growth as well as capture of business process knowledge. Responsibilities will span business analysis, architecture, technical project coordination, and BI/Analytics development. The chosen candidate must have a very strong customer focus, be a self-starter and capable of multi-tasking, and have a deep interest in both business needs and the technology required to meet them.
