Job description
This position is responsible for leading the activities of the Production Planner and Inventory Control (PPIC) and Warehouse organization for Amgen Singapore (ASM). Areas under responsibility include management of both the Biologics and Synthetic Warehouse operations, production planning, material requirements planning, inventory control, business system change control, monitoring and governance of the entire supply chain to ensure product supply, and Strategic Resource Planning as a part of the long-range capacity planning process.
In addition, the position is responsible for representing the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function as a member of the leadership team for Amgen Singapore as well as representing the SCM to corporate headquarters.
FUNCTIONS
•Directs the day to day activities of Warehouse management and PPIC
•Member of ASM leadership team responsible for ensuring product supply and setting the direction for the team
•Maintenance of Business Continuity program for the Supply Chain group
•Ensures warehouse areas, process and procedures are maintained in full current Good Manufacturing Practices compliance
•Approve, establish and ensure practices and policies that are consistent within the organization and company
•Represents the warehouse to regulatory authorities
•Interacts with site efforts to ensure consistency in policies and practices
•Responsible to maintain a safe environment where staff, support groups, and visitors adhere to safety procedures
•Lead teams to achieve goals and objectives
•Identifies and mitigates risk for the operation
•Hands-on champions for Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
•Ensures maintenance and revalidation of equipment and systems
•Responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining the plant budget
Design for Synthetic Facility
•Accountable for warehouse portion of concept of design for synthetic facility
•Ensure area is designed in a cost efficient manner but meets all quality requirements
•Collaborate with all supporting functions
•Reviews and ensures all safety measures for site and personnel
Staff:
•Coach and ensure the development of management and staff
•Partner with HR to ensure recruiting, retaining, coaching and motivating staff
•Ensure an on-going organizational structure capable of adapting to changing business needs
•Ensure safety goals are communicated and supported with on-going safety programs
•Ensures required initial and continuing training for the operations department personnel is carried out and adapted according to needs
•Builds long-term development and succession plans
•Responsible for ensuring an environment and culture of Continuous Improvement
•Ensure leadership exemplifies the Amgen values
Support Functions:
•Creating and maintaining relationships with Corporate and other Amgen sites in regards to process alignment and customer service
•Interacts with site efforts to ensure consistency in policies and practices
•Collaborate with, and serve as plant level liaison to manufacturing support organizations (QA/QC, Mfg, F&E, PD, HR, etc.)
•Assures necessary area infrastructure is maintained to support operations and are maintained in a continuous state of readiness
Network:
•Represent organization on projects, task forces, or various site and network teams
•Ensure network actions are carried out
•Works actively with other directors and managers in the network to advance learning and collective performance
•Provides authoritative advice to top management based on deep subject matter expertise
Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSES
Doctorate degree and 4 years of directly related experience or Master’s degree and 8 years of directly related years or Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of directly related experience
Within experience must have 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, and programs or directing the allocation of resources
