HR Regulatory Performance Management & Compensation Manager, VP

Overview:
Controls and compliance are an integral part of how we run the company and are the number one priority for the firm. The Human Resources Regulatory Program is responsible for effectively delivering the regulatory commitments owned by HR across all lines of business and corporate functions. This includes regulatory commitments mandated by firm wide consent orders or Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs) and regulatory issues and action plans identified through ongoing dialogue with regulators.

This position supports the strategic priorities of the HR Regulatory Affairs team with an integrated focus on design and execution of: 

• Evaluating the most senior level employees across the firm
• Monitoring a number of risk and control processes, associated people and compensation impacts
• Tracking of regulatory designated employees through key stages in the employee lifecycle and
• Responding to regulatory inquiries as related to people, performance and incentive compensation.

The individual will play a crucial role in supporting the design, execution and monitoring of systems, processes and communications in each of these regulatory workstreams.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work on an initiative with high visibility and exposure to the firm’s HR Executive Management, implement solutions globally and collaborate across the various HR disciplines. This fast-paced role will provide support in managing projects, initiatives and other change management efforts. Additionally, the role provides dynamic personal leadership and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of organizational development knowledge, program design as well as analytical, communication, project management tool and consultative skills.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

Program Design and Execution 
• Lead the development and implementation of the Multi-Rater Feedback and Risk/Control Feedback programs, including content updates, training/resource development and refinement
• Oversee system testing (UAT) process in partnership with Technology and HR Analytics
• Develop tracking tools to drive the effective completion, aligned to the integrated analytics of the overall 

Executive Performance Management (EPM) program 
• Co-lead to prepare and transition for 2016 vendor management strategy
• Identify system and process improvements based on client and key stakeholder feedback
• Participate in cross functional workstream and interact with compensation teams to design firm-wide solutions that address regulatory requirements and incorporate LOB and regional practices
• Firm-wide performance management agenda including objective setting, mid year, and year end performance reviews
• The regulatory compensation agenda including designation of regulated employees, HR control forums, and other risk/control processes, people and compensation impacts
• Assist with system/process/tool maintenance 

Training 
• Partner with training team to develop impactful learning programs and materials to drive completion, build skill and clarify roles and responsibilities for managers, employees and HR, with specific focus on Multi-Rater
• For Multi-Rater, partner to develop Communication plan and materials that are aligned to firm-wide key messages and delivered to all stakeholder groups 

Advisor 
• Provide consultation to senior HR colleagues across the firm and respond to general inquiries regarding regulatory performance management, designation and incentive compensation systems, tools and processes
• Exposure to other HR regulatory initiatives including drawing related linkages to other Workstream efforts
• Stay current with evolving regulatory changes and market events

Analytics
• Provide data analytics and reporting to track progress of execution and drive decision making
• Assist in the production of executive presentations for Senior /Executive Mgmt
• Support exam preparation to provide timely information for internal and external requests

Qualifications
6-9 years of relevant HR experience: Organizational Development experience preferred; Compensation expertise a plus; Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required

• Ability to work flexible hours, especially during peak times 

Analytical Skills 
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and present fact-based summaries and reports
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, formulas for large data sets)
• Strong PowerPoint skills in creating executive level presentations
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with HR Databases and reporting, e.g. Business Objects, PeopleSoft/GBX hierarchies

Business Execution 
• Understand and consider various business needs to drive consistent solutions
• Sound judgment in dealing with large amounts of confidential/sensitive information
• Disciplined time management skills with ability to prioritize competing priorities
• Ability to work in a matrix management structure
• Control mindset which is evident by adherence to controls and standards

Position based in NYC, will relocate to Jersey City, NJ
