Senior Software Engineer Codestone Group Ltd - Poole, Dorset

You will join an established team producing and supporting cutting edge text messaging applications. The role will involve involvement in all stages of the project life-cycle including specification, design, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance and support. The ideal candidate will be articulate, confident and professional, have the ability to think laterally under pressure as well as be customer and quality focused.

Responsibilities

• Specifying, designing and coding software products on a diverse range of Microsoft platforms
• Monitoring, maintaining and developing live backend systems
• Providing 2nd line support to customers, analysing and resolving problems and providing assistance and guidance

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have a proven and demonstrable track-record of producing quality software working to a detailed specification and project plan sometimes under tight timescales.

Essential

• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Strong knowledge of  C#, .NET and MS SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of COM, ATL and Multi-threaded server software
• Ability to work to work under pressure to tight deadlines

Desired

• Mobile telecommunications protocols such as MMS, WAP or SMPP
• ASP.NET, AJAX and Web Services

Advantage

• Experience of direct customer contact and associated support activities
• Groupware systems such as MS Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, Groupwise
