Group IT Manager Medina Dairy - Maidenhead, GB

Job Description

There are opportunities to join the team within the role of Group IT Manager at Windsor with some travel to 15+ operating sites across the UK.

Monday to Friday, salary £40,000 per annum.

As a key member of the management team, you will assume leadership for the operation of all information systems, applications and allied IT infrastructure to realise the company vision of being the supplier of choice for chilled and non-chilled dairy products within the UK convenience and food service sectors.

Working With The Management Team You Will
• Develop technology roadmap to increase productivity and reduces waste across the companies chain of activities by leveraging technology solutions.

• Execute solutions and projects to agreed budgets and timelines.

• Ensure cost effective and appropriate systems for all applications both in terms of software and hardware.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage WAN / LAN / VoIP / connectivity and mobile hardware for the company across its 15+ locations

• Select And Manage Vendor Relationships And Third Party Solution Providers For All IT Products And Services Essential To The Cost Effective Operation Of The Company, Including
• Vehicle tracking, utilisation and efficient maintenance and efficient deployment and management of distribution activities, using state of the art and cost effective solutions

• State of the art web/smart phone solutions from order to payment cycle to deliver a differentiated and competitive customer experience

• State of the art and cost-effective Telesales

• Manage the execution of IT enhancements and projects in line with approved roadmap.

• Control the security of information systems by implementing procedures and policies that avoid risk to the business and its operations; set technical standards, methods, and priorities to accomplish this goal.

• Organise essential maintenance and quality controls to to avoid/minimiaw costly downtime

• Manage the selection, development and training of IT staff 

• Develop and implement training and information sessions for non-IT employees as needed across 15+ locations. 

• Maintain current knowledge of equipment, systems and programming techniques essential to future proofing the technology needs of the business.

• ExGood understanding of ERP systems

SAP B1 preferred

• SQL server installation/ configuration/administration

• Excellent understanding of DHCP/DNS, Application Server, IIS and Terminal Services, Hyper-V, CSV,SCMM, VMM  

• Citrix XenApp and SG installation/configuration and administration

• Good understanding of Office Suite of products

• GPO setup/configuration and troubleshooting

• Exchange Server installation configuration and administration

• HP Procurve Management and configuration using CLI

• Configuration and administration of HP servers and storage, SAS, Fibre, DAS/iSCSI

• Experience of managing third party contracts & SLA’s

Qualifications
• IT related degree

• 10+ years of experience within IT department

• Experience of working in (or with) companies providing IT hardware and software outsourcing solutions (e.g. India, Philippines etc) either in a consultative or implementation role

• Hands-on self starter with direct experience in troubleshooting and supporting IT infrastructure issues

• Familiarity with SAP B1; Experience of implementing SAP B1 an asset

• Consultative experience to or within a logistics and distribution environment an asset

• Minimum of 3 years leading or supervising teams and deploying solutions
