Progressive Medical Device Manufacturer has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. This individual will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate sales tax and state registration reporting, as well as general ledger account reconciliation and review. The Senior Accountant will also review existing procedures to identify opportunities for more efficient processes. Knowledge of SAP Business One is a plus.
The Senior Accountant, working under the guidance of the Controller and Accounting Manager, will independently manage all USA and Canada sales tax reporting, as well as tangible property tax reporting and USA state and locality registrations. They will also be responsible for maintaining general ledger account reconciliations for several accounts. The Senior Accountant will be in charge of reviewing and processing employee expense reports and employee usage of corporate credit cards. They will be responsible for analytical review of month end results and comparison to prior periods.
This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in the finance or accounting field. Candidates must have at least an associate degree with a minimum of three accounting classes. This position requires strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates will need the ability to work extra hours at month end, year end and other times, as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with the use of an ERP system are preferred.
Compensation: salary based on experience, health insurance, dental insurance, 401k, long-term disability, short-term disability, group life insurance and more.
